We stood there, there in top floor of the building, as the city's skyline collapsed before us in an avalanche of metal, glass and concrete. For 5 seconds it was complete chaos. on the 6th second it was quiet. It was actually peaceful. After the buildings fell I realize that Marla was still concerned with the hole in my neck. I really didn't mind, as long as it gave me my freedom from Tyler. After a moment of reflection passed the man I had told to get gauze came back with a first aid kit he had raided from a storage closet. Marla took it from him, then I told him to down stairs and we would meet the rest of them there. "ok, sir" he said, as he shook his head and then proceeded down the stairs. once he had gone Marla opened the first aid kit and begin opening the packs of bandages and tape to attempt to mend the hole in my neck. She began dabbing the blood from my neck with some gauze. "You know I thought I was crazy, but then I see this shit and I don't know what to think" she said. I gave a small chuckle that became hoarse with the blood that clogged my throat. I coughed and then said "ya this was pretty crazy for me, too." After she had wrapped my neck in bandages, we went downstairs to witness the descruction that Tyler and I had caused.
When we got outside we saw people in the streets wondering what had happened, like kids that had fallen asleep and woke up 20 years later. They wondered the streets looking at the destroyed buildings, puzzled, amazed, and terrified looks on their faces all at once. One thing that Tyler had promised was that no one would be hurt and in that area he was right not a single person was hurt, even with skyscrapers falling around them, transforming their shape into twisted steel and glass layed to rest on the ground in a heap.
