First person perspective on an old story

This Fanfiction is about the story of the Trojan War and Troy. If you've only seen the movie you will be totally in the dark with this one, in some aspects. However, if you know some of the story about it, in better detail than the movie, or you've read the Iliad, then you'll notice that it is written in a similar fashion that give it that depth and old school feel. For instance, it uses an adjective or a title before the name or the reference of the character eg. "the dark-haired Trojan". Another Thing put in this story that makes it like the original books, is that it has a sub-stories that describes an event that happened previously that is placed right in the middle of the present story, but it does have relevance to the story. The other interesting thing is that it is layed out in a first person perspective. This is something that was not done in the original old school books, mostly because it wasn't written by someone that was there, but it also give it a whole new dimension. It allows the author to tell you exactly what the character is thinking and feeling and gives the reader a different feel for the story.
